Ingredients to make chakri: Flour: Rice flour and all-purpose flour (maida) are the two types of flour used in making this chakri recipe in Goan style. Spices: Jeera/cumin seeds, red chilli powder, hing/asafoetida and cardamom powder are the spice powders used to add taste and mildly spiced flavour to the snack recipe.

The ingredients needed to make Rice Flour Chakri:
- Get 3-4 cup Rice flour (approx 500grm)
- Prepare 75 grm green chilli paste (as per taste)
- Get 50 grm of ghee/fresh cream (I used fresh cream)
- Make ready 4 tsp sesame seeds
- Prepare 2 tsp carom seeds
- Take 2 tsp cumin seeds
- Prepare 2 lemon juice
- Take 4-5 tsp sugar
- Get Salt as per taste
- Prepare 1/4 teaspoon soda (optional)
- Prepare Oil for deep frying
How to Make Rice Flour Chakli. Grind the green chillies to paste and take it in a bowl. Add rice flour to the chilli paste, jeera and salt. Add the sour cream to it little by little and knead it well with the chakli maker.
Instructions to make Rice Flour Chakri:
- All ingredients
- Take a bowl add lemon juice and sugar. Mix it well. Add soda.
- Mix all the ingredients n add little little water.
- Make soft dough.
- Take Chakri maker, grease it, fill the dough n make Chakri on flat surface. I used kitchen platform.
- Now take a deep pan add oil for frying n put it on low flame. With the help of flat spatula take Chakri from the flat surface n drop them in hot oil.
- Fry them till it get pinkish on low flame.
- Note: - 1) If u want Chakri should be soft than use soda.. other wise no need. Get crispy n crunchy Chakri.
- Note: - 2) Can use curd also it should be sour (khatta). Than use less ghee/ cream n don't use lemon. - - 3) Make 6-7 Chakri in one batch. One in oil n another should be on surface. Don't make it all together other wise it will get separated in oil.
Deep fry them in oil until they turn it into light golden brown. Enjoy it an easy evening snack. Chakli or Chakri are made as a part of the Diwali faraal (Diwali snacks and Diwali sweets) in maharashtra and Gujarat. There are many versions of making chakli.
