- Cook perogies: - *boil a large pot of water. Drop perogies into boiling water one at a time. Boil about 10 minutes. - *melt butter in the bottom of a large frying pan. Using a slotted spoon, remove perogies from water and sautee in butter for a few minutes on each side or until each side is browned. - *place perogies on a baking sheet in the oven on the lowest heat setting to keep warm.
- Cook kielbasa and onion: - *slice kielbasa at an angle inton1/2 inch pieces. - *combine onion, 2 tbsp butter, season salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Sautee for 3-5 minutes - *add kielbasa to onion mixture and cook through
- Place desired amout of perogies on your plate and top with Kielbasa mixture. Enjoy!
- You can substitute sauerkraut for the onion in the kielbasa mixture if you desire. My husband doesn't like sauerkraut son onions work better for our family
