  6. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Bake until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, about 45-55 minutes. Cool bread in pan for 5-10 minutes. Remove to wire rack to cool completely. Slice & serve. Store leftovers in fridge.
  7. Note: to make your own Buttermilk, put 1 tbsp of lemon juice or white vinegar in a 1 cup liquid measuring cup. Add enough milk to make 1 cup. Stir. Let set for 2 minutes & it's ready to go. You can use whatever milk you like. I used soy. It's an easy way to make that dairy free or if you don't have Buttermilk on hand.
